Use ADR to View the Map ...

Using ADR is the quickest, easiest, and the best way to view the map. The following three steps summarise how easy this is to do. (If you need more details, see further down the page).

  1. Go to the Autodesk site and download and install a program called Autodesk® Design Review 2008 (ADR).
  2. Download the map by right-clicking this link and saving the file to your computer.
  3. Double-click the downloaded file to open it in ADR.

Detailed instructions

1. Download and install ADR:

  1. Go to the Autodesk web site and download the Autodesk® Design Review 2008 (ADR) application. Click on the following link to go to the download page:

    You can also get there by going to the Autodesk home page (www.autodesk.com) and clicking on the Autodesk® Design Review 2008 download graphic in the lower-right of the page, or by typing "Design Review" in the Autodesk web page's "Search" button.
  2. Fill out and complete the required fields on the Autodesk page and click "Submit" to download the ADR application.
    The download time should take no more than a few minutes using a high-speed Internet connection. Download time might be much slower if you have a slow connection.
  3. After the application has downloaded from the Autodesk web site, a File Download dialog box displays.
    Click the "Save" button to display the "Save as" dialog box and select the directory where you want to save the file.
  4. Click the "Run" button to begin the installation. If Windows displays an "Internet Explorer Security Warning" dialog box, click "Run" to begin the installation.
  5. Complete the installation by clicking the appropriate buttons as you normally do when installing software.
  6. When the installation is complete, you can confirm that the ADR application is installed correctly by checking that it appears as the "Autodesk Design Review" menu item under "Autodesk" on your Windows Start menu.

    You can also get there by going to the Autodesk home page (www.autodesk.com) and clicking on the Autodesk® Design Review 2008 download graphic in the lower-right of the page, or by typing "Design Review" in the Autodesk web page's "Search" button.
  2. Fill out and complete the required fields on the Autodesk page and click "Submit" to download the ADR plug-in.
  3. When the Autodesk Design Review 2008 page displays, click the "Download now" button.
  4. When the "Opening SetupDesignReview.exe" dialog displays, click the "Save file" button.
    The download time should take no more than a few minutes using a high-speed Internet connection. Download time might be much slower if you have a slow connection.
    When the download is complete Mozilla may display a "Download complete" message near the lower right part of your screen.
  5. The "Downloads" dialog box should display, listing the current and some previous downloads you have made from this computer.
    If you cannot see a "Downloads" dialog box, go to the Mozilla Firefox "Tools" menu and click "Downloads".
  6. In the "Downloads" dialog, click "Open" to open the SetupDesignReview.exe file that has just downloaded.
  7. In the "Open Executable File" dialog, click "OK".
  8. The InstallShield will begin unpacking and then the ADR installation will begin.
    Complete the installation by clicking the appropriate buttons and making the choices as you normally do when installing software.
  9. When the installation is complete, you can confirm that the ADR plug-in is installed correctly by checking that it appears as the "Autodesk Design Review" menu item under "Autodesk" on your Windows Start menu.
2. Download the map:

  1. Right-click this link and select "Save Target As..." from the pop-up menu.
  2. Using the "Save As" dialogue box, navigate to where you want to save the file (we suggest the Desktop) and click the "Save" button.

  2. Depending on how you have Firefox configured, you may be asked where to save the file (we suggest the Desktop) using the "Save As" dialogue box, or the file may automatically be downloaded to your downloads folder.
3. Open and view the map:
Simply find the file on your Desktop or in your Firefox download folder (click "Tools" then "Downloads") and double-click it (or click the "Open" link in the Firefox list of downloads) to open it in Autodesk Design Review.
